You Are Perfectly Perfectly Able

Three men stand on podiums

But your full potential is perfectly attainable.

Think about this: you are stuck in a dead-end job, working day and night for minimum wage. You do not realize it, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Do you go toward the light, or do you go away from it? Do you stand watch, or do you rush toward that bright light, hoping for a magical cure?

     We All Have It!

We all have perfection, and it is attainable. All you have to do is realize that life is not linear. Life bounces back and forth between cycles of dread and fear. We all have this predisposition to fear the unknown, to back down in the face of adversity, and to avoid that shining light. Why do we do this?

Is it fear that holds us back, or is it hesitance? There is a difference, believe it or not. Fear is defined by unknowing what will come from your actions; hesitance is simply avoiding the possible. Do not make that mistake! Rush toward that light; escape that tunnel of despair! You have it in you – I know that for a fact! All you have to do is trust the guiding light at the end of that darkened tunnel…

      What About Me?

What about you? Where are you now? What could you be doing that would make life a little bit better, if not a lot better? Why do you not proceed to make things right? Well, as a Counselor for twelve years, I have found that people are often not so much afraid as they are hesitant. People tend to back away from confrontation and change…it seems almost as if human nature defines us in this manner.

     Do not make that mistake.

     Live, Live, Live!

Proceed with victory! Rush toward that light! Rush the danger in a silhouette! Do not be afraid of change! Change can be scary, I know. But remember that it is good scary, like moving to a new city “scary” or having a baby “scary.” What am I talking about? Imagine moving to a new town for a great new job. You will be afraid, of course, but do you avoid taking the job? We often fail to realize that change is meant to be scary, but we have to push forward for change and do so willingly!

That, my friends, is the epitome of perfection.
